Hotel Accommodation

You´re all invited to stay with us in the cabins at the Ranch (check Cabin Accommodation), but if you´d prefer to stay in a hotel, read on:

If you plan to stay at a nearby hotel, we recommend that you book a room as soon as possible. Please note: The Monterey Jazz Festival is happening the same weekend as our wedding. The Jazz Festival is a popular event, and many of the rooms in Monterey County will be booking up quickly for the weekend. So, if you plan to stay in a hotel, it would be a good idea to book your room soon. We've done a bit of research, and we think the most reasonable rate for a very nice room is here:

We secured a rate of $189/night (for either 2 double beds, or 1 king bed) at the Carmel Mission Inn. Surprisingly, this is actually on the cheaper end of Carmel hotel rates. When you call, please say that you are attending the Kent-Monning/Smith wedding, and ask for the discounted rate.

The Douglas Ranch is located 15 miles East of Highway 1 on Carmel Valley Road. The Carmel Mission Inn is located right near the junction of Carmel Valley Road and Hwy 1, so it's a 15 mile (25 minute drive) to the Ranch.

If you want to be closer to the Ranch, there are many hotels, inns, and spa/lodges located along Carmel Valley Road. I'm pretty certain they're all more expensive than the Mission Inn rate, but it might be worth looking into. If you Google search "Carmel Valley lodging" you can find many options (Bernardus Lodge, Quail Lodge, Carmel Valley Ranch).
